Being aware of the gram amount of carbohydrates per serving is an excellent way to cut back on the carbs.
The diabetic diet has many important aspects to it. It's not difficult to learn about and your doctor can help you. You will still have freedom in your meals when you follow the above strategy.
But it's important to talk to your doctor about carbohydrate substitution. Because there can be exceptions to the rules, you should make sure it is safe for you to follow.
